A fetish for
Mud is nothing new, in fact its thousands of years old, the most notable evidence dates to 200 BC in the Roman Empire. The Romans would bathe and play around in Mud, sometimes referred to as the baths. Roman women is particular were especially fond of the skin healing properties of some
Clay. They discovered that its would dry-out the skin and therefore also pull out all the dirt and debris from the skins pores, giving the skin a healthy glow after applying a moisturizer.
The Germans have always been particularly fond of Mud baths, the Baden Baden not far from Strasbourg has been a health spa area since early 1200's. Even today the spas of Baden Baden are still very popular. There are several other countries from South America to Japan who have exploited Mud over the last 2, 000 years as a health benefit, and enjoyed playing in the Mud.
The Germans its them also propagated the idea of Mud Wrestling in the 1930's. For a while, all the tabu sexy clubs and cabaret bars in Berlin had Mud Wrestling shows. These shows were never designed to be sexy, more of an amusement, and a humiliation for women.
Here in the west the fad of Mud Wrestling grew in popularity in the 80's. Many night clubs from coast to coast in the US had live Mud Wrestling shows. Several prominent movies featured Mud wrestling shows, such as 'Stripes' Eventually it all dwindled, but the act of mud play lives on in subjective communities.
