Gunge Tanks
A gunge tank is a contraption used for dumping gunge on someone. Not often seen in the US, gunge tanks seem to have been more prominent on European television, most notably on Noel's House Party. The gunge tank from that show is now owned by Leon of Mostwam and used in many of their productions, such as Gunge Tank Girls and its more recent variation Mud Tank Girls (in which the tank is filled with mud).

The arrangement most commonly seen has a booth, in which the victim sits or stands, with a tank mounted atop it. The tank has an opening which is blocked by a plunger or other device, until a mechanism is activated (often pulling a chain) lifting the plunger and releasing the gunge.

The tank featured in Mostwam's videos has an optional insert which causes the gunge to fall in multiple small streams, something like a rain shower. Without the insert the gunge falls in one stream. While the insert typically ensures more even coverage of the victim, and lengthens the time it takes to empty the tank, some prefer the more forceful effect of the gunge falling in a single stream.

One variant of the gunge tank called a "flush tank" has been marketed in the US as an alternative to dunk tanks. In this version a balloon filled with water (usually), gunge, or confetti (for those who thrive on others' disappointment) is placed in a basket above the victim, and the mechanism triggers a needle to puncture the balloon.

Gunge Tank Instructions
How to build your own Gungetank at home...

1 thing I learned is getting a nice metal rack setup was worth it for stability that bucket gets heavy: I also got a waterproof cushion to sit on. I've made 3 so far the string pull prototype, a smaller diameter 3/4" and the larger diameter 1 1/4" to be honest a 1" might be the sweet spot if you can find the parts, 1 thing I found out is there are different types of pipe threads, Garden Hose Style and NPT threads, you need to make sure you get the right connectors, had a lot of buy and return to find the right fittings, but go it done as you saw. There are also GHT to NPT converters which I believe I needed 1 of going from the Bulkhead to the Ball Valve for 1 of the setups but I can't remember anymore. I pulled the below out of a message to someone else so think it's got everything but like I said it's been 6 months so hard to remember...

The 1 1/4" in my opinion is the best one, here's a part's list:

5 Gallon Bucket

Some kind of caulk, I used Gorilla Glue to sealed the penetration I made in the bucket.

I used a hole saw think it was 2.5" or 3" you ha even to check the Bulkhead when it comes in to confirm

Here is what I'm talking about:

https://umd.net/profile/i/itsjustdandy/section/videos/video/test-of-gunge-bucket-version-30

I have made 3 different ones in the same 5 gallon bucket style. First one had a pull handle for release, the next to are open amd shut valves, controlled by a wifi enabled outlet, we even tied it to our Google Nest so you can say Hey Google Slime On and Slime Off for hands free fun!
